
Zumper brand was built by product and engineering teams in 2010 has not been refreshed since the conception of the company. Prior to the arrival of the creative team, the brand identity was based entirely on three-page Google Slides: one with the logo, one with Arial font, and one with the logo's colors.
In Q1 2021, we set out to evolve the Zumper branding into a household name.
The first challenge is to identify our core target customers and build a brand that connects with them emotionally, not just as one of a dozen functional rental apps on their phones.
By Q3 2021, we successfully launched a revised logo, a brand new color palette that reflects the brand's personality, a typography system, a newly defined photography direction, tone and voice guidelines, and most notably, a. n and animation style guide along with library assets for both B2B and D2C.
We can say that the Zumper brand now just got a new fresh start.
